As instructed, two large pouches are used to make 64 ounces of coffee (or at least you start with 64 ounces of water – you lose some to the bag, which you are told not to squeeze when removing). This makes a good STRONG cold-brew, so I’m sure if you wanted, you could use one bag and make 48 ounces of coffee, especially with a full 24 hour brew time. The flavors are on point, and really bold. The brew actually seems to thicken the water, similar to how hard alcohol (rum, whisky, etc.) is always slightly thicker than water. Even though the flavors are strong, they are exactly as you would expect based on the description (maple bourbon, and also their butter rum flavor, which I also received). They are not sweetened, and while these are very good on their own, these are even more amazing with coffee syrup. Both of the flavors I’ve tried make great coffee slushies when mixed with a sweetener in an ice cream maker (I have an old kitchen aid attachment ice cream maker which freezes the coffee/syrup into a delicious slushy). If you like ice-coffee, I mean real ice coffee – not hot coffee cooled over ice, and if you like the flavorings of alcohol, then you will LOVE this. *note, the picture is from the butter rum flavor, but they both turned out equally dark and delicious. I just didn't think to take another identical looking picture.

so ive never actually had cold brew before. ive gotten really into coffee stuff this year, from instant coffee, to pour overs, so cold brew was the obvious next step especially now that it's heating up (summer time at the time of this review), so when i saw this, i knew i had to give it a try. after opening one of the coffee pouches (resealable btw), the delicious coffee smell hits you instantly. to me, i got hints of chocolate, maple, maybe a caramel, and something almost fruity, overall a very sweet coffee smell. that alone was such an experience, the coffee smell itself was just super high quality to me, very fragrant. i did 1 packet into about ~772g of water, i used a 32oz container, but the 70g coffee back was pretty big, so it ended up taking a lot of room so i wasnt able to get close to ~900g of water to get to 32oz. this ended up being just a little over 1:11 coffee:water ratio, instead of the 1:13 it recommends on the back. i added cold water, but then let it sit outside for 18 hours, since from what i saw, that gave the general best taste. after the 17 hours, i put it in the fridge to chill for the last hour, then tried it out. smell wise after brewing, it was basically identical, but with an added floral-like scent, otherwise still chocolatey, mapley, caramely. the taste was smooth, moderately bitter, very very subtle sweetness, slight acidic, it seemed like a floral like acidity if anything, probably something to do with the barrel aging. im not a black coffee drinker at all, i always like adding creamer/milk +sugar, but i was able to enjoy this as is no problem, the ~1:11 ratio is basically perfect in my opinion and i think if i wouldve done 1:13, it wouldve been a little watered down. while there is a minimal acidic taste, i did notice for mouthfeel, there is an acidic feeling tinge when swallowing when it hits your throat though. a refreshing drink overall, it's definitely something to slowly sip and enjoy cold, dont think of it like normal coffee, i see what people means when it comes to cold brew, it's a very different experience, so i can see why some like it and some hate it compared to regular coffee. this is great on its own, delicious with some creamer or milk + sugar, but i also recommend trying it with protein powder if youve never done that with regular coffee. i use a chocolate peanut butter one from nutricost, it's very natural tasting, a little bitter and wow the combination with this cold brew was next level. all the smells and flavors mesh together so well it makes for the perfect cold brew mocha, no extra sugar needed, no creamer, no milk, the protein powder is basically an all-in-one, so it works perfectly with coffee and gives that extra protein, it's a great morning pick me up. very impressed with the flavors here, this is a great first experience with cold brew, cant go wrong with this. i plan on using one of the bags as coffee grounds for a pour over as well, just to see what the difference would be like taste wise, looking forward to that. i will update this review when i get around to trying it. edit: i found that after the initial drink, waiting to drink the rest the following days, gets a fair bit more of the acidic feeling, still doesnt really taste acidic, it's more just the feeling. also ive found if brewing at 1:11, if you do 6oz of coffee and 2 oz of water for a total of 8oz (~236g), helps smooth it out quite a bit, 5oz coffee to 3oz water makes it a bit too thin, but helps cuts the acidic feeling more. update 2: if you leave this sitting, the acidity really builds up. after 3 days, the acidity gets the phlegm in your throat going and it makes you have to clear your throat, and after 4 days, it's almost like a liquid-like feeling in your mouth when drinking. if youre only 1 person, i think doing the full 64oz at once is a mistake, definitely stick to 32oz, and try to drink it within 2 days if possible, the feeling really changes over time. mainly just in feeling, it goes from very smooth and easy to drink to an almost alcoholic type of stinging-like feeling to me. i was basically drinking a cup (8oz) of it a day (5-6oz coffee with 3-2oz water mixed) so it took a while to drink myself. first day though, results in a great cup, just keep in mind, the smoothness definitely changes the longer it sits. will keep testing with the last few bags, along with trying one bag as grounds for a pour over. using milk is definitely the play though, you can do 6oz coffee and 2 oz milk and it really mellows out the mouth feel, really helps with the overall smoothness

I love cold brew coffee but over the past few months have cut my coffee runs and switched to making at home because of budgeting. During this time, I have tried numerous types of coffee pods, packs, grinds, methods, etc. You name it, I've probably tried it! These cold brew coffee bags from CREA8T are some of the best at home cold brew that I've tried! I made per package instructions and left to steep for the full 24 hours. Poured over ice, added some whole milk and BAM! Amazing at home cold brew. In total, I got five beverages from each pitcher - so 10 from the whole box. Much cheaper than take out. For me, I make my iced coffee in a larger sized straw cup, so if you were making smaller glasses would get significantly more. (You get a total of 128 oz from the box when made as directed)

I've never drank bourbon before, but I sure love coffee and wanted to give this a go. It sure smells different, has a very strong smell if I drank bourbon before id probably know what that smell was! I have a large mason Jar that I use for cold brew, shoved the 2 bags into the jar with 64 oz water and left sitting at room temp for about 16 hours. There was a ton of "coffee sludge" you could call it at the bottom, I am still not sure if you are supposed to consume this, but I see no other way to avoid it. After removing the large pouches I shook it up and poured it over ice and it was quite enjoyable. I am still not sure I love the taste of bourbon but I certainly enjoyed all 64 oz over 3-4 days. I ended up adding more water through drinking it to water it down a bit, it is quite strong using 2 of the pouches for 64 oz. I think you might be fine using 1 pouch which I will try next time.

I steeped 1 filter pack in 32 oz of cold water for 18 hours in my fridge. As a coffee, the cold-brewed coffee was somewhat weak, but as a cold beverage, it was delicious. It smelled of whiskey barrels, and it tasted of coffee, caramel, and butterscotch. It leaves a light pleasant coffee-acidic aftertaste in the mouth after every sip, which makes me want to take another sip to enjoy it. Tasty cold beverage!

This is my first foray into making cold brew at home. I liked this kit quite a bit, the directions were spot on and I ended up with a pitcher full of quite delicious coffee. I can taste the maple and the bourbon undertones. My only complaint is that the listing makes it sound as though you get four servings when actually it's two because you use two filter packets to 64 ounces of water per serving. Regardless, the coffee is delicious and there is enough to share with the housemates.

This comes with 2 pack of cold brew ground coffee in maple bourbon flavor. There are two bags of coffee in each pack and it's meant to make 64oz of coffee. I don't have a big container so I only use 1 bag to make 32oz. I soak the bag in room temperature water for about 12 hours then leave it in the fridge for the remaining 12 hours. The coffee came out with very strong flavor and it smells amazing. I'm not used to drinking coffee straight, so I added 1/2 coffee and 1/2 milk with 2 pumps of vanilla syrup. The coffee still tastes very strong even after being diluted with milk. The bourbon flavor is really nice, it really tastes like you actually added bourbon to it. It's one of the best cold brew coffee set out there. I'd highly recommend.
